We currently have 34 members of both men
and women who come together twice a month with the
common objective of contributing to the community. Our
support covers all facets of community life here on the
Peninsula and the wider world in which we live.
To generate funds for the provision of such services to
the community and the wider world community, we give of
our time to such diverse activities as:
The promotion and running of major
fund-raising events
The provision of labour and services for
community events put on by the Mornington Peninsula
Shire and commercial organisations i.e. Mornington Food
and Wine Festival, Australia Day etc
Regular local sausage sizzle stalls
Sales of Christmas cakes, social events,
etc.
All funds raised are through the
voluntary efforts of the Lions and over the past several
years, these funds have been dispersed to a broad range
of needy organisations and groups in the true spirit of
Lions International.

When
do we have time to have fun?
We meet on the 1st and 3rd
Tuesday of each month at the Mornington Country Golf
Club, 6:30 for dinner at 7:00 pm. The 1st
meeting of each month is normally a "partners" evening
where a guest speaker is invited to address the meeting.
The 2nd meeting of each month is primarily
devoted to Club business, but it is still an enjoyable
evening.
How
can you join?
Should you think our activities are of
interest to you and you may be considering joining a
very happy band of willing workers, you should contact
our Club and we will be pleased to more fully explain
the activities of our Club and invite you to one of our
meetings to see at first hand how we operate.
