Top local
and interstate artists will present a wide range of
country music including country rock, bluegrass and
honky tonk, making for a great days entertainment for
the huge crowd who flock to the Peninsula for this each year.
Fans will be
able to meet and greet artists at the merchandise tent after their performance and purchase CD's. Red Hill T-Shirts will also be available for purchase.
Festival
chairman Ian Davey promises all attending a
wonderful day of entertainment with line dancing, a
variety of market stalls, children's rides, raffles, and
reasonably priced food and drink stalls. Dogs are not permitted so please leave Fido at home.
Youth Talent Segment
The day also
includes a Youth Talent Segment that proves that we have
so much talent waiting to be discovered. The past years
have seen some sensational performances so come early
not to miss. Sponsored by the Rye and District Community
Bank this showcase of young artists pave the way to a
brilliant day of Country Music for the whole family.
Hot Rod Show & Shine
Hundreds of
Hot Rods, Classic and Custom Cars will be on
display with Free Entry
For Driver. Trophies
will be awarded including the Ian Shaw Memorial Award.
Ute Muster
Free entry for driver and ute. Trophies will be awarded for various categories.
Gates
open at 8am.
The Youth
Talent Segment commences at 9am and Bands play from 10am
till 6pm.
Entry is $25
Adults. $20 Concession .14yo and under Free.
Wet weather
cover available. The show will go on even if inclement
weather.
Ample free
parking is provided along with the many food market
stalls to make this a great day of family entertainment.
This is a charity event staged by the Mt. Eliza Lions Club with the valuable assistance from Lions on the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston area. They have combined to make the Red Hill Country Music Festival an event not to be missed.
